By default, the hard drives on Windows 10 computer are automatically optimized every week. If you would like your hard drives to be optimized every day or every month, you can go to change the drive optimization schedule, following the guidance below.

Steps to change drive optimization schedule in Windows 10:

Step 1: Type optimize drive in the search box and choose Defragment and optimize your drives on the list.

Step 2: In the window named Optimize Drives, click Change settings under Scheduled optimization to continue.

Step 3: Choose a frequency from Daily, Weekly and Monthly, and then tap OK.
