Do you prefer writing characters in freehand or writing each character separately on the handwriting keyboard in your Windows 10 tablet? FYI, the former is the default setting. Thus, if you prefer the later, you can go to customize the handwriting method, following the steps illustrated below.

Step 1: Open Control Panel.
Step 2: Select Clock, Language, and Region.
Step 3: Choose Language to continue.
Step 4: Click Options.
Step 5: Choose Write characters in freehand or Write each character separately, and hit Save.
