Restore Gateway laptop to default settings with system recovery tool<\/h2>\n<p>When you still could access Gateway laptop, click \u201cStart\u201d \u2013 \u201cAll Programs\u201d \u2013 &#8220;Gateway Recovery Centre&#8221;, and there is \u201cSystem Recovery\u201d. Click it and laptop would automatically enter system restore interface.<\/p>\n<h2>2. Restore Gateway laptop in Windows safe mode<\/h2>\n<p>Start Gateway laptop, and when you see \u201cGateway\u201d logo, keep on pressing F8. And choose \u201cRestore Computer\u201d in pop-up menu. System Restore window appears. Click Next and follow the wizard to restore the laptop to default settings.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tips:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>There are no settings directly for \u201cRestore to factory settings\u201d, only system backup and restore available.<\/li>\n<li>If Gateway has been reinstalled with Windows operational system, it will not restore to factory default settings.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>So we need to backup system for Gateway laptop previously.
