And we forgot other accounts and passwords gradually. But we couldn\u2019t promise we will never forget the usual account and its password. If all the accounts display every time when we start Windows 8, that will help us to remember better. Now I will introduce <strong>why and how to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.isunshare.com\/blog\/show-all-user-accounts\/\">show all user accounts on Windows 8 Sign on screen<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>Why show all user accounts each time when you boot Windows 8?<\/h2>\n<p>1. You can choose appropriate account to logon Windows 8 based on their privileges<br \/>\n2. Deepen your impression of Windows 8 accounts and prevent you from forgetting all the accounts and their passwords.<\/p>\n<p>In a word, if you have multiple accounts set up on your Windows 8 system, chances are that you would like to <strong>have the Sign on screen show all user accounts<\/strong> rather than just the immediately displaying the last user account that was signed on to the system.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">How to show all user accounts on Windows 8 Sign on screen? <\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3>Way 1: Show All Accounts with arrow<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>Way 2: Show all the user accounts with Task Scheduler<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Way 1: Show All Accounts with arrow<br \/>\n<\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">1. If you have multiple accounts set up on your Windows 8 system, you will find that, when you login Windows 8 every time, the Windows 8 sign on screen always displays the account of the last person to sign on the system. If you want to <strong>display all the user accounts on the sign on screen<\/strong>, you have to click arrow to go back to a sign on screen that displays all of the available user accounts.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Way 2: Show all the user accounts with Task Scheduler<\/span><\/h3>\n<h4 class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Stage one: Create a bat file with Regedit command<\/span><\/h4>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><strong>Step 1:<\/strong> Launch Registry Editor in Windows 8.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Use <b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;\">Windows + Q<\/b> key stroke to access the Apps Search page. And click <b>Find Next<\/b> button<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.isunshare.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/run-find-command.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"407\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-249\" src=\"https:\/\/www.isunshare.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/run-find-command.png\" alt=\"run-find-command\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.isunshare.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/run-find-command.png 600w, https:\/\/www.isunshare.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/run-find-command-300x203.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><strong>Step 4:<\/strong> Modify the <b>Enabled<\/b> parameter in the <b>UserSwitch<\/b><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Arrive at :<br \/>\nHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Authentication\\LogonUI\\UserSwitch key<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">And you will see the<b> Enabled value<\/b> in the UserSwitch key and notice that it is set to 0. If you now restart your system, you will see that the <strong>Sign on screen displays all the available user accounts<\/strong>. But it only displays all user accounts when you first restart the Windows.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"left\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">To configure the system so that the sign on screen always shows all user accounts, you can automate the procedure of changing the Enabled value in the registry. Automating the procedure requires two steps: creating a good old fashioned batch file and then creating a task in Task Scheduler that runs the batch file.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><strong>Step 5:<\/strong> Create a batch file<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Create a folder called <strong>ShowAllUsers<\/strong> in the root directory of drive C and then saved my batch file there.<\/li>\n<li>Open a notepad and type the following command line:<br \/>\nREG ADD HKLM\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows|CurrentVersion|Authentication\\LogonUI\\UserSwitch \/v Enabled \/t REG_DWORD \/d 1 \/f<\/li>\n<li>Save it as ShowAllUsers.bat in the C:\\ShowAllUsers folder.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 align=\"left\">Stage two: Creating a task to run batch file<\/h3>\n<p align=\"left\"><strong>1.<\/strong> Press <b>Windows + W<\/b> to open search box, type <b>Schedule<\/b> to find Schedule task and run it<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><strong>2.<\/strong> When Task Schedule windows opens, <b>Create task<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Click<b> Create task <\/b>command in the <strong>Actions<\/strong> panel to create a new task.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.isunshare.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/create-task.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"458\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-246\" src=\"https:\/\/www.isunshare.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/create-task.png\" alt=\"create-task\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.isunshare.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/create-task.png 600w, https:\/\/www.isunshare.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/create-task-300x229.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><strong>3.<\/strong> Create Task dialog box appears, you\u2019ll see that it has six tabs.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Select General tab, type <strong>ShowAllUsers<\/strong> in the Name box and type a description in the Description box. \u00a0Select the <em>Run whether user is logged on or not<\/em> option and then select the <em>Run with highest privileges<\/em> check box. Select Windows 8 from the <em>Configure for<\/em> drop down menu.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.isunshare.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/configure-general.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-243\" src=\"https:\/\/www.isunshare.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/configure-general.png\" alt=\"configure-general\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.isunshare.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/configure-general.png 600w, https:\/\/www.isunshare.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/configure-general-300x225.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><strong>4.<\/strong> Configure Trigger<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Select <strong>Triggers<\/strong> tab and click the<b> New <\/b>button. When you see the New Trigger dialog box, select<b> At log on<\/b> from the <b>Begin the task<\/b> drop down menu and then select the <b>Any user<\/b> option.
