So sometimes before <strong>enabling, creating or deleting macros in excel<\/strong>, we need to do something first.<\/p>\n<h2>Part 1: Prepare to operate on Excel 2010 macros<\/h2>\n<p>For example, if there is no Developer tab in MS Excel 2007\/2010 menu bar, it is necessary to add it to Excel menu bar first, otherwise, you could not create macros in MS excel. If there is, bypass this part and go on to <a href=\"#part2\">part 2<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>1. Click <strong>Customize Ribbon<\/strong> tab in Excel options window. In the Customize the Ribbon category, in the <strong>Main Tabs<\/strong> list, select <strong>Developer<\/strong>, and click OK.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.isunshare.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/add-developer-ribbon-to-excel-main-tabs.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"484\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2686\" src=\"https:\/\/www.isunshare.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/add-developer-ribbon-to-excel-main-tabs.png\" alt=\"add Developer ribbon to excel main tabs list\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.isunshare.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/add-developer-ribbon-to-excel-main-tabs.png 600w, https:\/\/www.isunshare.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/add-developer-ribbon-to-excel-main-tabs-300x242.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Then you can see Developer in Excel menu bar, and Macros is in <strong>Developer<\/strong> tab, <strong>Code<\/strong> group.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"part2\">Part 2: Enable, Create and Delete Macros in MS Excel 2010<\/h2>\n<p>If you are ready, let\u2019s begin to <strong>enable macros, create macros and delete macros<\/strong> in Excel 2010.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"#section1\">Section 1: How to enable Macros in MS Excel 2010<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#section2\">Section 2: How to create Macros for MS Excel 2010 workbook<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#section3\">Section 3: How to delete or remove Macros from Excel 2010 workbook<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"section1\">Section 1: How to enable Macros in MS Excel 2010<\/h3>\n<p>In Excel default settings, Macros is disabled in Excel 2007\/2010. Therefore, if you want to do anything about Macros in workbook or worksheet, such as create Macros or delete Macros in Excel, Macros has to be enabled at first.<\/p>\n<p>1. In following pop-up Trust Center dialog, click Macro Settings, and check <em><strong>Enable all macros (not recommended; potentially dangerous code can run)<\/strong><\/em> under <strong>Macro Settings<\/strong> option. Click OK.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.isunshare.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/enable-macro-in-excel-2010.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"489\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2688\" src=\"https:\/\/www.isunshare.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/enable-macro-in-excel-2010.png\" alt=\"enable macro in excel 2010\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.isunshare.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/enable-macro-in-excel-2010.png 600w, https:\/\/www.isunshare.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/enable-macro-in-excel-2010-300x245.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now Excel 2007\/2010 is ready for you to create macros.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"section2\">Section 2: How to create macros for MS Excel 2010 workbook<\/h3>\n<p><em><strong>Step 1:<\/strong><\/em> Click <strong>Record Macro<\/strong> button in <strong>Developer <\/strong>tab.<\/p>\n<p>In <strong>Developer &#8211; Code <\/strong>group, there is a button <strong>Record Macro<\/strong>. If you want to create macros in Excel 2010, it is enough for you to do with &#8220;Record Macro&#8221; button. Macro name<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Macro name is the direct description about the macro you are going to create. So give it a name with actual meaning could let you easily distinguish to run it later in Excel workbook. For example, if you want to bundle steps of creating title in table into macro, you can call macro &#8220;<em>CreateTableTitle&#8221;<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Shortcut key<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In Excel 2010, Shortcut key is set to begin recording steps into a macro, and used to run macro after creation. So we had better set different shortcut key for different macros that macros would not be confusing, when we use shortcut key to run Macro in Excel workbook.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Store macro in<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Macros in Excel can apply to <strong><em>This Workbook, New Workbook or Personal Macro Workbook<\/em><\/strong>. This option specifies where the macro can be used.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In Description, anything can be set as you like. You can describe the macro more in details, or record the macro creation date etc.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Step 3:<\/strong><\/em> Record operation steps into macro.<\/p>\n<p>After click OK in Record Macro, do what you want to record in macro. If you would like to see the steps in macro, click <strong>Macros<\/strong> in Code group. The operation steps and other information of all of Macros you just see are listed with VBA code. Click <strong>Developer<\/strong> tab, and click <strong>Macros<\/strong> in Code group. Macros dialog pops up.<\/p>\n<p>2. All of Macros available to this Excel workbook are listed in Macros dialog.
