  • How long does it take to copy/backup the system and partition?

It depends on the source space size that has actually been used, and the degree of file system fragmentation. No matter you want to copy/backup/restore the system or partition, the larger space that the source target has been used, the longer it takes to finish the copy/backup process. If you have not defragmented the source disk for a long time, it will cost more time to finish the copy and backup. .

  • If I want to clone the system to a new drive, does your software support SSD?

Yes, of course. This Windows system cloning software supports supports all popular brand of solid state drives, such as Samsung, Toshiba, Seagate and so on, for the system copy & backup. But there is a certain demand for the hard drive format: when you use the dynamic disk as the destination target, it cannot be started as a system disk.

  • Is it secure to upgrade my disk with this software?

It is no need to worry about the safety. We guarantee that it is 100% secure and clean to use this program for the disk cloning. There is no data loss or damage during the whole process.

  • What's the difference between Copy and Backup?

    1. The copy process is used to create a new identical system or partition on the destination target while the backup option will help you to create the .icg file for the selected volume.

    2. When you choose Copy, the software will format the destination target at first. This will not happen to Backup.

    3. No matter for the system or partition copy, you can reach the contents on destination target directly. When it comes to the system or partition backup, you need to utilize the restore function for the system/data access.

  • I can not boot my computer from the cloned system, what can I do?

Up to now, our software is compatible with up to 80% Windows computer. As is know to all, Windows x64 operating system is not supported to boot from MBR disk and Windows 7 x86 (x32) is not supported to boot from GPT disk unless you change the boot settings personally. Thus, when you do this, iSunshare CloneGo will prompt a box to inform you about that and asks whether to continue or not. If you insist in cloning the system, you need to manually change the boot option before booting Windows. About the MBR and GPT difference, you can check this page for details. For other issues, feel free to contact our support team.

  • After the cloned system is booted successfully, the previously activated software cannot be used, what to do?

If you found the previously activated software cannot be used in the cloned system, the most possible reason for this issue is that the serial number of the motherboard or hard disk has been identified incorrectly.

Generally, we add new hard drive to the Windows computer to move the Windows OS to the new hard drive without changing the motherboard. Therefore, we can make the conclusion that this issue is caused by a new hard disk serial code recognition error.

How can we fix this error? You can find and get the software to view and modify the hard disk serial code from the internet. With such software, you can get the serial codes of the new and old hard disk by making a record or screenshot. In the end, exchange the serial number of the two. In this way, you can solve the problem that the software does not run due to the identification error of the new hard disk serial number.
