Turn on AirDrop in iPhone or iPad for File Sharing

Steps to turn on AirDrop in iPhone or iPad for file sharing:

Step 1: Slide the screen upwards to open the Control Center.

Step 2: Click AirDrop and select Everyone or Contacts Only in the pop-up list.

Through this procedure, you can make yourself discoverable to everyone or only people in your contacts.

Tip: On iOS 11 devices, you can turn on/off AirDrop with the following operations: Open Settings > General > AirDrop, and choose from Receiving Off, Contacts Only and Everyone three options.

Step 3: Open the picture or file you want to share and tap the bottom-left icon with an up arrow.

Step 4: Have your friend turn on AirDrop on his or her device.

This step is a must-do procedure if you don't see him or her on the screen.

Step 5: Select your friend to share the picture or file with.

After your friend accepts your sharing requirement, the picture or document will be transferred to his or her device successfully.
