To access System Restore (as shown in the following screen shot) on Windows 8/8.1 computer, you can use any of the following three ways.

3 methods to access System Restore on Windows 8/8.1:

Method 1: Access it by search.

Open the Search panel with Windows+F hotkeys, input system restore in the empty box and select Settings. Then, click Create a restore point on the results page.

Method 2: Access System Restore through Control Panel.

Open the Control Panel, type system restore in the top-right search box and tap Create a restore point in the pop-up options.

Method 3: Access it via system protection.

Step 1: Right-tap the Computer icon and choose Properties on the context menu.

Step 2: As the System window appears, click System protection to enter it.
