Android Data Genius User Guide

This guide describes how to use iSunshare Android Data Genius to retrieve deleted contacts and text messages from Android mobile phones, including Samsung, HTC, Huawei, ZTE, Sony, LG, Motorola, Sharp, Toshiba and Lenovo.

STEPS to recover SMS and contacts from Android phone:

Step 1: Download and install Android Data Genius.

Download iSunshare Android Data Genius and install it on your computer. It can be installed in Windows 8/7/vista/xp/2008/2003/2000.

Step 2: Connect the Android phone to the computer.

Use Android USB cable to connect the Android phone with the computer.

Step 3: Enable the USB debugging of your phone.

To make the program run correctly, you need to enable USB debugging mode in your phone.

Step 4: Install driver for your phone on the computer.

Download a driver for your Android phone and install it on your computer. FYI, to find an appropriate phone driver, you can refer to Android USB Drivers for Samsung/Sony/HTC/Huawei/ZTE/Motolora/etc. Or, you can learn how to create a driver and install it on your PC from How to Install USB Driver for Android Phone in Windows.

Step 5: Root your android phone.

iSunshare Android Data Genius needs the root privilege to access your Android device. If you have no idea how to root your android phone, please see How to Root Android Phone. Besides, you can check if your android phone is rooted by referring to How to Know if My Android Phone is Rooted.

Step 6: Start iSunshare Android Data Genius and wait for the software to scan the lost contacts and text messages on your phone.

You will see result as follow:

Note: If the deleted contacts and text messages don't appear on list, you can restart your phone and try again.

Tips: If the program fails to connect to your android phone, you will see screenshot as below. Please make sure:

  1. You have enabled USB debugging on your phone.
  2. You have gotten the root access on your Android phone.

Step 7: Recover SMS (Text Messages) and contacts.

Select the SMS and contacts you want to restore and click Recover. And then choose a folder and save the recovered.
