This user guide shows how to open & read & write BitLocker encrypted drive on macOS and Mac OS X with iSunshare BitLocker Genius. The software is easy to use so that everyone can handle it. Besides, it will 100% safe for both your BitLocker drive and Mac computer.
Preparations
Step 1: Install iSunshare BitLocker Genius.
1. After downloading the software from our website, you can double-click on the installation file and then click on Continue.
2. Next, click on Install button.
3.Wait a few seconds and it will finish installing iSunshare BitLocker Genius to your mac. Click on Close to exit installation window.
4. If your computer is upgraded to Mac Catalina, You should head to System Preferences >Security & Privacy >Privacy >Full Disk Access and add iSunshare BitLocker Genius into the data access list.
Step 2: Unlock the BitLocker encrypted drive.
1. Run iSunshare BitLocker Genius and then select the target drive with the "bitlocker" mark and click on the Unlock button.
Note: You may encounter "The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer" error as the image below after you insert the BitLocker encrypted drive into the Mac computer. Just click on the Ignore button to continue.
2. Input bitlocker password or bitlocker recovery file to unlock it.
2.1 Unlock drive by bitlocker password
If you remember the correct password for the BitLocker disk, type it in the box next to Password.
2.2 Unlock drive by bitlocker recovery file.
You can check on the box of Use key file then click the Open button to add the recovery file. After that, click Mount to unlock the drive easily.
After you open the BitLocker disk, you can see the drive on the desktop. It is possible for you to transfer files between the decrypted drive and Mac normally.
Step 3: Eject the Drive.
Once you have finished all works, click on Eject to disconnect the drive from Mac.
Note: You can use the Attach feature to open the *.dmg file with ease.
