iPad is usually used to read paper or play videos in our life. If your favorite videos lost and you have no Apple ID to enter iPad iCloud backup, how can you restore iPad videos?
As is known, iCloud backup and iTunes backup are two common backup file for iPhone, iPad or iPod to restore data. But if you have no Apple ID or forgot Apple ID password, you will not access iCloud backup and cannot make full use of it to restore iPad data. So please follow two methods below if you decide to restore iPad Mini videos without Apple ID.
Even though there is no Apple ID available for you to recover iPad lost videos from iCloud backup, iTunes still can work normally for iPad mini video recovery, as long as you have ever made a iPad backup with iTunes.
Prerequisites: iPad Mini, USB cable, computer, iTunes, iTunes backup on computer
Step 1: Connect iPad mini to computer with USB cable.
When iPad Mini is detected by iTunes on computer, and iTunes runs automatically in general, you could find your iPad on iTunes top-right side.
Tip: It is worth mentioning that, if your iPad has been set syncing to iTunes automatically, now iTunes will make a new iPad backup instead of previous one. So in order to prevent previous iPad iTunes backup lost, please turn off auto sync in iPad before connected to computer.
Step 2: Click FileDevices Restore from Backup in iTunes menu.
Step 3: Choose an iTunes backup and restore iPad data from it.
Type a password if a dialog pops up and asks for iTunes backup you choose. And not only videos, but also photos, messages, contacts or remiders etc will be restored to your iPad Mini.
Note:
1. If the iTunes backup is encrypted with password you don't know, please recover iTunes backup password firstly.
2. If you cannot find any iTunes backup for your iPad Mini, please try method 2 to restore lost videos for iPad with iOS Data Genius.
Without iTunes or iTunes backup, how can you restore iPad Mini deleted videos?
At this moment, iOS Data Genius will give you a hand. Not only helps to only extract videos from iTunes backup for iPad, but also directly recover iPad deleted videos from iPad Mini.
Prerequisites: iOS Data Genius and USB cable, or iOS Data Genius and iTunes backup.
Step 1: Prepare iOS Data Genius on Windows computer.
Step 2: Run iOS Data Genius and choose recovery mode, Recover from iOS Device or Recover from iTunes Backup File.
1. Connect iPad Mini to computer with USB cable.
2. Choose Recover from iOS Device mode on iOS Data Genius, and click Start Scan button.
3. Preview iPad Mini lost data, videos included in new window.
4. Check only videos or all data on the left pane. And click Recover button on the bottom, then select a folder to save iPad recovered videos or all data.
1. Choose "Recover from iTunes Backup File" and select iTunes backup for your iPad Mini in backup list. Click Start Scan button to scan this iTunes backup file.
2. In iPad data preview and recovery window, only click Videos folder on the left side to preview iPad lost videos.
3. Check Videos in the left file list and click Recover button at the bottom.
4. While new dialog pops up, browse and choose an folder or create a new one to save iPad Mini recovered videos.
After the above steps, if iPad videos have been restored with iOS Data Genius, you would get a dialog with message Recover successfully.
And now lost iPad Mini videos have been saved on your computer. Just open recovered data folder, and you can see iPad Mini lost videos there. Then if you want to transfer these videos to iPad Mini, please open iTunes and sync them to iPad Mini with it.
