Want the Weather widget or app to automatically show your current location—or prefer to specify a fixed location manually? Here's how to toggle the "Always detect my location" setting in Windows 10.

Steps to Change Your location in Weather on Win 10:

Step 1: Access Weather from the Start Menu.

Step 2: Click the Settings option on the left menu.

Under Location settings, you'll find these options:

  • Always detect my location — uses Windows location data for dynamic updates.
  • Default location — allows you to manually set a city or place to display.

You can toggle Always detect my location on to enable auto-detection.

If you want to change the launch location, choose Default location to enter a specific place and rely on that consistently.
