Want to get at-a-glance updates like missed calls, unread emails, or weather notifications right on your lock screen? Here's a simple guide to adding or removing quick status apps on Windows 10.
Step 1: Open Settings in the Start Menu.
Step 2: Choose Personalization in the settings.
Step 3: Select Lock screen, click a plus sign under Choose which apps show quick status on the lock screen.

Step 4: Select an app from the dropdown list—options include Weather, Mail, Calendar, and more—or choose None to keep that slot empty..

Your chosen app's information will now appear on the lock screen as a quick status indicator—perfect for at-a-glance notification viewing.
Besides, you can also tap the plus sign under Choose one app to show detailed status on the lock screen, and then select a program from Weather, Calendar, etc.
