Quick Access in Windows 10 File Explorer allows you to pin your frequently used files and folders for easy access. If you often open the same locations, pinning them can save you time and clicks. In this guide, we’ll show you how to pin and unpin items in Quick Access using simple steps.
Open File Explorer, right-click the item (e.g. hard disk, One Drive, folder, etc.) you want to add to Quick access, and then choose Pin to Quick access on the menu.
Step 1: Open File Explorer and then access to the folder you want to pin.
Step 2: Choose the folder and then click Home tab on the top.
Step 3: Choose Pin to Quick access to pin your folder to Quick Access.
Another simple method is using drag-and-drop: Open File Explorer, locate your folder and choose it, drag the item to the Quick Access section on the left. Drop it there to pin it instantly.
If you no longer need an item in Quick Access, removing it is easy.
Open File Explorer and then find the pinned items on the left sidebar. Then right-click the item and select Unpin from Quick access from the context menu. After that, your item will no longer appear in Quick Access.
