As is known to all, the Safari browser sets the Google as the default search engine in iPhone and iPad. But for some users who get used to Bing, Yahoo and DuckDuckGo, they will feel uncomfortable in using Google. Luckily, they will be able to set their favorite search engine as the default one. Here you will learn how to change the default search engine on iPhone and iPad to Yahoo, Bing and DuckDuckGo on your iPhone and iPad.
Step 1: Open SettingsSafari.
Step 2: Choose Search Engine to continue.
Step 3: Select Google, Yahoo, Bing or DuckDuckGo.
Those people who want to use their familiar search engine make take these Safari ettings into consideration:
1. Safari and search engine suggestions: Both Safari and search engine will give you the suggestion as you type. The search engine will give you the search terms from the default engine while Safari will offers you the suggestions according to iTunes ,the APP Store and the internet.
2. Quick Website Search: Safari will intelligently store the websites you often visit so that you can head to the site directly from the Smart Search Filed next time.
3. Preload Top Hit: The smart Safari aims to give you the best using experience so that it will preload the best search result in advance as you type according to your search engine history and bookmarks.
Tips: For those who do not want to use the default search engine and do not want to change the settings, they can directly download other search engine apps, such as Bing app. As you need some time to download and install the app, I prefer to change the default search engine which save my time.
