Step 1. Open your PowerPoint first of all and then go the target slide which you want to insert the hyperlink to.

Step 2. Select the image, shape, text or any other element on the slide, go to the Insert tab and then click option of Hyperlink to open the Insert Hyperlink dialog box.

Step 3. Now, you can choose one of the following 5 options to continue. It is based on which kind of hyperlink that you want to add in the PowerPoint.

Step 1. Click the option of Existing File or Web Page under Link to, locate to the target document and select it, and then click the button of OK to confirm.

Step 2. To link a slide in another presentation if you want, locate to the presentation on your computer and select it. Then click Bookmark to choose the relevant slide.

Notice: If you send your PowerPoint out or present it on another computer, your link to another file may be in vain. So you should make sure that you have the copy of the linked files on the computer that you are going to make a presentation. Step 3. Type the name of a new file in the blank of Name of new document, and then click OK. You can choose to Edit the new document later or Edit the new document now under When to edit if you want.

Adding a hyperlink to an email address means to link a displayed email address to open up a user's email program.

Step 1. Click E-mail Address under Link to in the Insert Hyperlink dialog box.
