2 Ways to Unpin Programs from Taskbar in Windows 10

To remove programs from taskbar on Windows 10 computer, you can use one of the following two methods.

1. Way 1: Unpin a program from taskbar via the program icon on taskbar.
2. Way 2: Unpin a program from taskbar in Start Menu.

Way 1: Unpin a program from taskbar via the program icon on taskbar.

Right-click an app icon (e.g. Snipping Tool) on taskbar, and choose Unpin this program from taskbar in the menu.

Way 2: Unpin a program from taskbar in Start Menu.

Step 1: Press Windows+F to open the search box in Start Menu, type the name of the program you want to remove from taskbar and find it in the result.

Step 2: Right-click the app and select Unpin from taskbar in the pop-up list.
