How to Check Data Usage in Windows 10

Tracking how much data your PC uses is essential, especially with limited plans or metered connections. Here are multiple ways to review and manage network data usage on Windows 10.

Part 1: Check 30-Day Data Usage in Settings

Step 1: Open Settings on your computer. Then choose Network & Internet.

Step 2: Select Status on the sidebar. After that, you can see the Data usage button under your network. Here, the total usage for Wi-Fi and Ethernet in the last 30 days is displayed. You can click the Data Usage button to check details.

Step 3: Now you can see each app's data usage over the last 30 days.

Besides, you can limit data usage by hitting the Enter Limit button and configure the type, monthly reset date, and the data limit.

If you want to start a new billing cycle, scroll down and click Reset usage stats. After that, confirm the action.

Part 2: Track App-Specific Usage in Task Manager

You can see the data usage of modern apps via Task Manager.

Step 1: Right-click the taskbar to open Task Manager.

Step 2: Click the App history tab and then go to the Network column.

Step 3: If you want to start fresh, click the Delete usage history on the top.
