By Michael | Last Updated

You may need to access your PC's Windows operating system every day, but do not want to carry a laptop or tablet out of your house as it's pretty heavy and annoying to you. Hence, you must want to login to or access your computer from anywhere, especially outside.

Don't know how to do this? This article will guide you on how to take advantage of these 2 different methods to login to and access your PC from anywhere easily.

If you want to connect to your home computer directly using an internet connection, take Way 1.

Otherwise, you can try Way 2 to access your PC from anywhere there is no internet access by creating an identical Windows OS on your USB drive or removable hard drive, so that you may take that drive with you everywhere. Just insert it into a Windows computer anytime you need and you'll be able to access your computer by visiting your own Windows system.

Way 1: Login to your PC from anywhere with internet

If you want to use the internet to control your home computer when you’re away, take it this way and you’ll be able to do so.

Step 1: Download and launch Teamviewer on both computers you use for controlling & being controlled.

Step 2: You’ll see Your ID and Password in the middle of the window.

Step 3: On the PC for controlling, type the ID and Password of another PC for being controlled on the box.

Step 4: Click Connect and you’ll (almost) be able to login to your home computer from anywhere.

click connect

Note: After this step, it will ask you to create an account online. After you finish creating an account, it’ll ask you to verify it by Email. And then you need to verify your phone number, which is really annoying, at least for me.

Way 2: Access your computer from anywhere without internet

By using this way, you can get a USB or a portable hard drive (USB-to-SATA Adapter is required for connecting) with the Windows system inside. So you may take it anywhere you want conveniently and access your desktop or laptop from anywhere without the internet, which means the familiar applications and their data will be around you all the time you need.

All you need to do is to insert your USB or hard disk into the computer, and then boot from removable device.

Note: The USB or hard disk will be formatted so backup first if necessary.

1. Download and install iSunshare WinToGo Genius, which is a powerful utility.

2. Run it and Select a USB or a portable hard disk you insert from the dropdown menu. A high performance USB flash drive or an SSD drive is suggested because of its high transfer speed.

3. Then you will have the following 2 Options:
