How to Find the BIOS Version of a Computer

Find BIOS Version through System Information

Step 1: Go to Start Menu, and type run into the search bar, then click Run option in the result list.

Step 2: In the coming dialog, type msinfo32 into the text box and click OK.

Step 3: In the System Information window, scroll down to find the item called BIOS Version/Date.

Find the BIOS Version from Command

Step 1: Go to the Start Menu, then type command prompt into the search bar to open a command window.

Step 2: Type wmic bios get smbiosbiosversion in the command window and click Enter.

Note: This command is just to list the number of BIOS version. If you want to get more details about your BIOS version, you can try to type wmic bios get biosversion in the command to find detail information about the version of the BIOS.

Find the BIOS Version from the Windows Registry

Step 1: Go to Start Menu, and type regedit into the search bar.

Step 2: Then you should follow the under path to navigate to the version of BIOS.
