To remove the Recycle Bin icon from desktop in Windows 8 computer, you can make it by means of two different methods. And this text will respectively illustrate them with detailed steps.

Way 1: Remove Recycle Bin by hiding it in the Desktop Icon Settings.
Step 1: Open the Desktop Icon Settings.

Step 2: Hide the Recycle Bin.
Uncheck the small box before Recycle Bin and click OK.
Way 2: Remove Recycle Bin by enabling the "Remove Recycle Bin icon from desktop" setting.
Step 1: Access the Local Group Policy Editor.
Step 2: Find and open the mentioned setting.

Step 3: Enable this setting.
In the "Remove Recycle Bin icon from desktop" window, select Enabled and click OK.

Tips:
1. As to the second method, you can also shut down your computer and log back on to bring it into effect.
2. If you apply the second way to remove Recycle Bin from desktop, you cannot show Recycle Bin icon on desktop again through Desktop Icon Settings because the Recycle Bin option is in non-editable state, as exhibited in the following picture.
