Steps Recorder is a built-in tool that captures screenshots and logs your actions with automatic descriptions—perfect for troubleshooting or walkthroughs. Although now deprecated in newer Windows versions, it's still available in Windows 10 and earlier. Here are the most reliable methods to open Steps Recorder on Windows 10 computer.
Click the Start button, choose All apps, open Windows Accessories and tap Steps Recorder.

Type step in the search box and click Steps Recorder from the list.

Step 1: Access Control Panel.
Step 2: Input step in the top-right empty box and select Record steps to reproduce a problem in the result.

Open Run with Windows+R, type psr and hit OK.

Step 1: Turn on Command Prompt.
Step 2: Input psr.exe and press Enter.
