You can add files, folders, processes and file types as the exclusions for Windows Defender on Windows 10 computer. In other words, Windows Defender won't scan the excluded. As for how to make it, please read on.

Step 1: Open Settings.

Step 2: Choose Update & security.

Step 3: Tap Windows Defender and click Add an exclusion.

Step 4: Select an exclusion type (e.g. Exclude a file).

Step 5: Choose a file and hit Exclude this file.
