In the company's 2018 keynote, Apple unveiled its new iPhones, the iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and XS Max. Barring accidents, the three iPhones all packed with new features. iPhone XS and XS Max are releasing from September; however, iPhone XR will launch in October. Which should I pick the most? First of all, let's take a look at the table below to see how they differ.

To sum up, there are a lot of similarities between XR, XS, and XS Max.

  1. 1. Processor. Apple upgrades the processor to A12 Bionic which is 15 percent faster than A11 Bionic. Apple also said A12's portion CPU performance increased by 15% while the GPU increased by 50%.
  2. 2. They all support Liquid resistant, Wireless charging, and Face ID.
  3. 3. These three models are equipped with a slow 5W charger and there's no headphone adapter.
  4. 4. You can manually adjust the depth of field after taking photos in Portrait Mode. Although it has been available on Android phones, such as Huawei and Nokia.
  5. 5. XR, XS, and XS Max are the edge-to-edge display.

Which is the best one to pick between iPhone XR, XS, XS Max?

In my opinions, if you aren't straitened for money, the iPhone XS Max is worth to buy than any others. XS Max is $100 more expensive than XS, but it has a larger screen, longer battery life, dual SIM cards, and better resolution. However, most us don't have enough money to buy such an expensive smartphone like iPhone XS Max. So we have to consider XR and XS.

  1. 1. Performance. They share the same IOS 12 and A12 Bionic chip with next-generation Neural Engine. That is to say, the performance experienced is almost the same.
  2. 2. Display. XS uses the new OLED displays that are scientifically better for your eyes. Though the LCD that XR used has a little bit lower resolution than OLED indeed, it won't impact your daily usage. It's also notable that a 6.1-inch XR is more suitable than a 5.8 - inch XS to playing a game.
  3. 3. Camera. The XR has a single lens while XS has dual camera. It can impact the photos a little. But if you are not so harsh in this portion, it can also be acceptable.
  4. 4. SIM card. XR supports dual SIM while XS doesn't.
  5. 5. Price. The XS is $250 expensive than XR. In summary, XR is more worthy than XS to buy. It's a little weaker than XS but also cheaper.
