Customize Typing Mode for On-Screen Keyboard in Windows 10

You can use On-Screen Keyboard by means of three methods which are clicking mode, hovering mode and scanning mode. To choose your favorite typing mode, continue reading for the detailed operation.

Steps to customize typing mode for On-Screen Keyboard in Windows 10:

Step 1: Launch On-Screen Keyboard.

Step 2: Click Options on it.

Step 3: Choose Click on keys, Hover over keys or Scan through keys, and then tap OK.

Tips:

1. In clicking mode, you can click the keys on On-Screen Keyboard to input text.

2. In hovering mode, you can use a mouse or joystick to point at a character/ number/symbol on On-Screen Keyboard for a short time, and it is automatically typed.

3. In scanning mode, On-Screen Keyboard scans itself and high-lights areas where you can enter a character/symbol/number by pressing a keyboard key, using mouse click, or using joystick/game pad/other gaming device.
