4 Ways to Close Apps on iPhone

Perhaps we usually do an action of closing background apps on the phone. In this article, I want to share with you 4 ways to close background apps on iPhone.

  1. Way One: Double click Home key

This is the most commonly used way to close background apps on iPhone. Below are the specific steps.

Step 1: Double click Home key to open the multitasking interface in which you will see your recently used apps.

Step 2: Swipe left or right to find the app you’d like to close.

Step 3: Swipe up to close the app or swipe up with two or three fingers to close multiple apps.

  1. Way Two: Double tap Home icon in AssistiveTouch

This way is with the aid of virtual key to close background apps on iPhone. Detailed steps are as follows.

Step 1: Tap AssistiveTouch and then double tap the Home icon to open the multitasking bar.

Step 2 & Step 3: Operations are the same as Way One.

To set up AssistiveTouch, please follow these following instructions: Open Settings -> General -> Accessibility -> AssistiveTouch, then turn it on.

  1. Way Three: Click Multitasking in AssistiveTouch

You can also tap Multitasking in AssistiveTouch to close the background apps on iPhone.

Step 1: Tap AssistiveTouch and then tap the Multitasking icon to open the multitasking bar.

Step 2 & Step 3: Operations are the same as Way One.

  1. Way Four: Use 3D Touch

This way applies to iPhone with 3D Touch feature.

Step 1: Press firmly on the left of the display and then swipe right to open the multitasking bar.

Step 2 & Step 3: operations are the same as Way One.

To open 3D Touch feature, you can perform the following actions: Open Settings -> General -> Accessibility -> 3D Touch, then turn it on.
